SUMMARY
This is a highly collaborative role leading the development and execution of all marketing, creative and production initiatives being the “brand champion” for the company. The position demands a unique intersection of incredible creativity with the capacity to evaluate and act on performance analysis. This position will oversee an in-house team that creates all marketing materials (video, audio and digital advertising content along with owned channel content such as in-store, email, social media, and website) and ensures on-time production of all marketing assets. Develops and implements strategic marketing plans while efficiently managing the marketing team and guiding the creative team and measuring results to ensure accountability. The Director will continuously monitor trends and keep a close eye on competitive retailers’ efforts in the marketplace. They are customer-centric in their approach and have a deep knowledge and appreciation for marketing mix and data. Play a crucial role in driving marketing efforts and contributing to company growth
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the marketing team including training, workloads, schedules, and deadlines
- Oversee and optimize the company’s affiliate marketing program, developing relationships with key partners to drive traffic and sales. Monitor affiliate performance and identify opportunities for growth
- Support the execution of targeted social media marketing campaigns, including geo-targeted paid and organic efforts, to generate in-store traffic, build brand awareness, and engage customers
- Create and implement innovative in-store events, activations, programs, promotions and localized marketing efforts to drive foot traffic and sales in physical store locations. Collaborate with retail teams to ensure smooth execution
- Present all creative strategy and collateral to leadership for approval
- Work closely with internal teams to create and execute seasonal omni channel campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and goals
- Maintain and update all marketing calendars, including promotional activities, social media activities, in-store events and activations
- Responsible for executing overall content strategy and copy writing to drive a clear and consistent brand message
- Manage the photoshoot process to capture static and video content for social media, paid, email marketing, and website promotions, ensuring all materials align with brand voice and objectives
- Propose partnership opportunities and serve as key liaison for all brand collaborations
- Guide Visual Manager to execute seasonal/monthly window directives and floorset materials that tie with our overall marketing campaign
- Ensure project management tools are updated with creative briefs, and deadlines, and that tasks are assigned to ensure timely completion
- Assist in managing traditional and digital advertising efforts, paid social, OOH, OTT, radio, and retargeting campaigns, to increase customer acquisition and brand visibility
- Support and manage relationships with social media influencers and brand partners to drive in-store traffic, revenue, and brand awareness
- Collaborate with external agencies, consultants, and partners as needed to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives
- Track marketing expenditures and report on the performance of campaigns using key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and optimize future efforts
- Work closely with the ecommerce, buying, and retail teams to ensure marketing efforts support overall business goals
Qualifications
- 5+ years of marketing and creative management experience with at least 2 of those years focused on retail (brick and mortar) businesses (i.e. crafting marketing messages, creating quality marketing collateral, and social media marketing)
- At least 2 years managing other employees at the coordinator or above level
- Expertise in copywriting and content creation
- Knowledge of digital marketing, advertising and public relations
- Event planning experience required
- 4-year degree required (marketing or business degree highly desired) equivalent experience
- Must be ambitious, driven to succeed and possess a passion for the business
- Excellent communication skills in English, able to conduct business negotiations skillfully.
- Must have experience in retail, preferably brick and mortar and ecommerce
- Must have a great eye for design and the ability to research and track the latest trends
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have strong problem-solving skills that allow for a proactive approach to the business and organizational skills necessary to complete multiple tasks within deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize and outstanding organization skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and take direction well
- Ability to work well both independently as well as an integral member of a tight-knit team
EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING
BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent preferred.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in adult or lingerie industry.
- Established relationships with social media influencers.
- Comfortable being on-camera for live and pre-recorded video.
